Gigi Perez was born in New Jersey and grew up in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. She is an up-and-coming alternative singer-songwriter. After a brief stint at Berklee College of Music, Gigi shared the original track "Sometimes (Backwood)" on social media. The song was an instant success, generating over 18 million streams within a month, reaching number 1 in the US viral charts of Spotify and to date has over 150 million streams worldwide. She then collaborated with music producer Jennifer Decilveo and released her debut EP "How To Catch A Falling Knife" in April 2023. The EP included the singles "Sally", "The Man" and "Figurines". Following the EP, Gigi spent the year performing at various festivals and headliningShows in the US, UK and EU. After parting ways with Interscope Records in early 2024 of , Gigi began releasing songs independently, starting with "Normalcy", her first self-produced track "Please Be Rude", as well as the latest single "Sailor Song", which recorded over 150 million streams worldwide in less than 2 months. The week of August 31, she hit her first spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, debuting at #98, and continues to climb the charts worldwide. She is on tour with Richy Mitch and the Coal Miners, has support dates with Girl in Red and is also headlining shows in New York and Los Angeles. Next up for Gigi is new music and a world tour.
