Since 2001, Municipal Waste have held uncompromisingly to their reputation as party-hardy flag-bearers of 21st century thrash metal. The Richmond, VA quintet - Tony Foresta [vocals], Ryan Waste [guitar], Philip "Landphil "Hall [bass], Dave Witte [drums] and Nick Poulos [guitar] - has become of a cult favorite to one of metal's mainstays. Their album The Art of Partying ranks as one of the "50 greatest thrash metal albums of all time," according to Metal Hammer. Municipal Waste has been able to reignite interest in thrash and inspire a new wave of youthful bands. The band has sold out countless Shows on several continents and racked up tens of millions of streams. "Slime and Punishment" from 2017 landed in the Top 3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart and 2019's EP "The Last Rager" continued that momentum. Municipal Waste maintain their course as vital as ever with their 2022 effort Electrified Brain.
