Born and raised in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, music has always been in Naomi Sharon's genes. With Dutch and Caribbean ancestry, her musical socialization was diverse. At a young age, her inner storyteller's instinct was transferred to the theater, and Sharon attended drama school for three years. During this time, she honed her tools of the trade in performance, stage presence and discipline and expanded her knowledge of behind-the-scenes production. "The Moon", her self-released debut single, was a sensual neo-soul introduction. She attracted international interest with her second single "Breeze" and began traveling for sessions. With her third single, she caught the attention of Drake, who signed her as the first female signing to his label OVO Sound for the album "Obsidian", released in 2023. Sharon experiences heartbreak, new relationships, self-discovery and a burgeoning career as she travels between continents. With "Obsidian", she evokes an emotional intimacy that even in its high points of is mixed with a hint of of nostalgia and longing for simpler times in the impermanence of adult life.
