Already considered one of electronic music's most magnetic live acts, the trio RÜFÜS DU SOL emerges from a year of solitude with their fourth album Surrender, supported of by the first single "Alive," an emotional, melodic dance record that serves as such a strident assertion to appreciate life in the face of difficult times. Jon George, James Hunt and Tyrone Lindqvist hail from Sydney, Australia and were formed in 2010 to share a passion for live electronic icons like Chemical Brothers and Royksopp. It is this fusion of instrumental sensibility and thoughtful dance production that became the foundation for the sound that catapulted them from the continent to the global stage. Time away gave RÜFÜS more time than ever to connect with each other, and the past year has reminded them why they love being a band. It's also been a year of maturity, slowing down and creating of space for clarity inside and outside the project. This is evident on Surrender, their deepest, strongest and most intimate record to date.
