FALLING IN REVERSE returned in 2024 with Popular Monster, their first album in seven years. Frontman Ronnie Radke fills the fifth album of Falling In Reverse with irresistible songs that resonate across generations and genres. Produced with longtime collaborator Tyler Smyth (I Prevail, Skillet, Lights), Popular Monster is full of self-confessed angst, bravado and clever wordplay.
As a teenager in Las Vegas, Radke founded a series of of pop-punk bands, which culminated in the formation of of Escape The Fate. The meteoric rise of the metalcore group coincided with the singer's descent into addiction. By the time he was sentenced to two years in prison, the of band he had founded had already moved on without him.
Gold-winning debut album of Falling In Reverse, The Drug In Me Is You (2011), was released less than two years after Ronnie's release. Thanks to his formative fascination with metal, punk and hip-hop, he almost single-handedly revitalized rap-rock with the ambitious Fashionably Late (2013). Just Like You (2015) debuted in the top 5 of the US rock charts. The grungy and atmospheric Coming Home (2017) showed another adventurous side to of Radke's self-expression.
The latest album Popular Monster marks another chapter in the ongoing story of an artist who continues to overcome adversity and overcome obstacles both within and without.
