Mike + The Mechanics

Mike + The Mechanics was founded in 1985 of by Mike Rutherford “as a side project to Genesis,” with Paul Young and Paul Carrack as the original frontmen. Together, they achieved massive commercial success in the ’80s and ’90s, reaching number one worldwide and selling over 10 million albums. Following the sudden death of Paul Young, a member o of , in 2000, the band released one more album before deciding to take a break. In 2011, Mike began writing songs again and invited Roachford and Tim Howar to join him. Their chemistry was immediately apparent, and they released the album “The Road.” Since then, the band has been touring to great success and remains together.
