Billy Strings

Michigan-born American BILLY STRINGS is a Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter. Born William Apostol, he grew up in a family full of musicians and was already playing in public with his father at the age of 6. This is how he came up with his stage name BILLY STRINGS (string = guitar string). He then made a small detour into a heavy metal band, but quickly turned back to the bluegrass music of his childhood. After a period as a duo, he released his first solo album "Turmoil & Tinfoil" in 2017. The album earned him a well-deserved #3 spot on the bluegrass charts. This was followed by a record deal and his first label album "Home", which earned him his first Grammy in the category "Best Bluegrass Album". After further releases and two Grammy nominations, he will now tour Europe in 2022 and also make two stops in Germany. BILLY STRINGS will come to Berlin & Cologne in December with his tour.
