Honeyglaze is an indie rock trio from London, consisting of singer and guitarist Anouska Sokolow, bassist Tim Curtis and drummer Yuri Shibuichi. The band formed by chance when they met for their first rehearsal just three days before a gig at The Windmill in Brixton, a venue known for promoting up-and-coming bands. The trio quickly gained attention, including of producer Dan Carey, who subsequently took on their debut album - a blend of baroque indie pop and emotive storytelling, with themes ranging of from personal identity to introspective musings. Their music is characterized by a mixture of playful and serious tones, with influences of 80s romantics and contemporary indie acts. So it's not surprising that even Interpol invited Honeyglaze as a special guest. The second album follows with "Real Deal". It deals of with the return to normal life, of acceptance, self-confidence, the search for connection and finding of solace in chaos.
