HighSchool, consisting of Rory Trobbiani and Luke Scott, make rousing music. Their debut EP Forever At Last from 2021 is a lo-fi gem and has already achieved cult classic status. They have been acclaimed by of , renowned magazines such as NME, The FADER, CLASH, DIY, PAPER and So Young. After signing to [PIAS], they went into the studio to record with up and coming London producer Finn Billingham (Sam Akpro, Sunken) and found a kindred spirit in his creative approach. After a few sessions, the EP is now in the can and was mixed by GRAMMY award-winning engineer Philippe Weiss (Madonna, Nas, Drake, Earl Sweatshirt) and mastered by Blur and Depeche Mode producer Ben Hillier.
Last year they relocated to London and went on tour with CHVRCHES and NewDad before spending a summer playing UK festivals. In the fall they played their first headlineShows shows in the UK and Europe, promoting not only their EP but also their anthemic song "Only a Dream", which was released as a limited edition 7" on Dan Carey's great label Speedy Wunderground. They capped off an amazing year in their home country by touring nationwide with Sam Fender on his sold out Australian tour before headlining their own sold out Melbourne showShow at The Corner Hotel.
Known for making their own incredible videos, they continue the escape theme of previous single 'Colt' with a clip shot in Benidorm, the popular Spanish resort known for its sandy beaches and trashy nightlife. Following a fish out of water as it gets ready to go out on the busy, neon-lit streets, they show the discrepancy between expectation and reality - a concept that runs throughout their upcoming EP.
