MICO is proof that consistency and great music are more important than quick fame. In 2018, the then 16-year-old Miguel Veloso began singing on Discord servers and Twitch streams to gradually gain listeners. Today, at the age of 21, he has built up over 60 million streams and a loyal fan base of 750,000 "amicos" - all without the help of a record label.

After his radio hit "cut my hair" and a sold-out debut show at the end of 2022, he released the EPs "the tears we fight" and "the afterparty", which spawned viral hits such as "another soul" and "better". In 2023, MICO broke the prejudice against online artists by embarking on successful tours across Canada and the USA.
