of From the beginning, Khruangbin has taken a very unique path: a sonic and visual representation that ignores pop expectations and relies only on inner inspirations and a variety of of visions. It is about penetrating oneself, connecting with the surrounding world and modeling one's own life experiences. The building blocks for the 12 songs of A LA SALA were puzzle pieces from Khruangbin's creative past - parts of the band that weren't lost, but weren't unlocked either. After collecting ideas they had originally written down off the top of their heads (voice memos recorded during sound checks, on long trips or as absent-minded epiphanies), they began to piece them together in the studio for A LA SALA.
